Festival Foods

foodserviceThe mission of Festival Foods is to provide marginalized job seekers with marketable job skills through kitchen and food preparation training.

Working in partnership with other Church of the Saviour organizations, The Festival Center launched the Festival Foods Program on January 20, 2011 with the first training session in the kitchen at The Festival Center. Each training session runs for two weeks, with up to six participants in each session.

Upon completion of the program, participants are equipped with a new or enhanced skill set, an update for their resume, and references. These results may be the helpful edge they need to get that job. A recent Festival Foods graduate told us, “Now when I walk into restaurants to apply for a job, and they ask me again ‘Can you cook?’, I can answer yes!”
